Lovely Locks

Landyn finally got her very first haircut! I took her to my hair salon, Ideal Hair, where Vana did such a great job cutting her lovely locks...OFF.

Landyn was very interested in sweeping and cleaning. She watched as all of her hard work made it to the trash.

She sat in the chair like a BIG girl, but wasn't so sure about the curtain over her and a stranger messing with her hair (she doesn't even like me to play with it most of the time).

But after a little bribery (she takes to it very well)...

She did great!

Landyn received a certificate and a little baggie with her lovely locks (more for my sake). Hopefully those curls will grow back :)

Spring Shoot

Nana bought a great deal from Groupon - a photo shoot with a professional photographer (Lori Brown) including a CD with some of the photos. We had to reschedule once because Landyn got sick with an ear infection. The day of the shoot, Landyn woke up and got sick, but I didn't reschedule so we got what we could. She ended up having a virus for a few days :(

The photos don't show her normal, happy self, but with M&Ms, car keys and lots of bribery and playing, she caught a few smirks and smiles. We went to League City and shot pictures at an abandoned shopping center and nearby park. Enjoy!

14 Weeks

Lane Kristopher is supposed to be measuring around the size of a bright, zesty lemon. But... He is a big boy and measuring a whole week larger - closer to the size of a delicious, juicy apple! Our anatomy ulstrasound will be on April 26th and there, we will confirm his size and whether the doctor will want to change his due date. As of now it is September 25. If they change it, the new due date will be September 17th! I've been feeling great and have so much more energy now, in the second trimester. I didn't go through the ups and downs of energy loss with Landyn, but Lane is giving me a run for my money. I love it! I have been super tired, but my energy is amazing during the day. Landyn still doesn't quite get the whole concept, but she does say, "brother, sister, Lane, baby" And she loves showing off her belly...and her Mommy's :) LOVELY!!!

I'm a Little Cowgirl

Landyn was so excited for her first "interactive" visit to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo!

We met Ashlee and Hunter at the Tram. They were a little nervous at first...

But got comfortable pretty quickly :)

Landyn started by getting acquainted with a few animals...

This is a pig. They are much cuter and smaller in books!

The goats were a little TOO friendly at times :)

We ended with a family petting zoo picture, then continued with the rest of the festivities...What could be more fun than waiting in lines,

meeting new friends,

planting

and picking tomatoes,

making silly faces,

milking fake cowsinventing your OWN carnival rides, and waiting for next year?!?

Happy Teeth

As we are midway through February (Dental Health Month) we would like to remind everyone that happy brushing leads to happy teeth! So thank goodness someone LOVES to brush her teeth around here :)

8 Weeks - Bellies!

7 Weeks - Blueberry

We are seven weeks pregnant and a lot is happening to our little embryo, inside of me at the moment. It's arms and legs are sprouting and it has doubled in size since last week - now the size of Landyn's favorite little berry

Though this delicious fruit is so yummy and sweet, I sure don't feel so much of that right now. I guess because I'm running around with a toddler on top of the tiredness from pregnancy, it just seems to be harder this time around, on my body. But looking at the positives, I'm getting a lot of needed sleep, more baths and TONS of attention from the Mr. of the house! He always seems to know exactly what I need, when I need it (like a plate of oranges and nuts in the bath yesterday)!!

And I know this is God's way of preparing us, in some form, for adding another miracle in our "mix". I love knowing there is a reason for all of this!
