Big Girl Toys

I realized about a week ago that Landyn has been playing with the same toys since birth. Not fun!

So...I got to do my favorite thing for my favorite person (shop, Landyn). I hit up online stores and realized my 20% off coupon at BRU was the best deal. She got a new little house:

And an activity table for her Nana's house:I figured that going all out would be a waste so we will let her get tired of these and move on to other toys...If you know Kris and me very well you know how we like our house - baby toys are not in the picture (even though I keep trying to convince Kris that they need to be). So a minimum is good for all of us :) Don't get me wrong - she has plenty of toys she can play with that are tucked away nice and pretty, but for the big toys - minimum is good!

Play away, baby girl!!

6 Months

Height: 27 inches (70-95%)
Weight: 18 lbs (70-95%)
I'm 4 days late on her exact 6 month birthday. I was waiting to get all "the goods" from the doctor (she had her appointment today).
Doc says Landyn is looking very good! She can start eating real solid food when we eat as long are they are small. This makes Kris excited because he has been wanting to get the "puff things" for a while.
As far as milestones - it seems like they are definitely adding up. She can totally crawl backwards, swivel a 360 on her belly (too cute) and she is starting to stand while holding onto things. She wants so bad to be able to crawl forward and even walk. He legs go, non-stop. If we lived in the ocean, she would have swam around the Earth twice by now!
Her temprament is so amazing! She is ALWAYS happy and smiling and has the funniest laugh. Speaking of funny - she is a character. She sticks things in her mouth and turns her head around to make us laguh. She also makes this face and give rasberries all the time. The people in her church nursery say she is "active". I guess people expect her to just lay around? Not this little girl. She has begun the "clingy" stage though. She only wants Mommy when Mommy is around. It's very nice to be able to SEE the love she has for me, although Iwish sometimes she would love me so much that she would let her Daddy give her a bath or feed her :P
We love you, Landyn, more than you will ever know. You are a great big sunshine in our lives and brighten all who come in contact with you (even the strangers at the store). It's so fun to watch you grow. We love you so very much!!! You are my sunshine :)

Sneak Peek

Landyn's Aunt La (Laura) had a friend of hers come over to take some pictures of Landyn while she was babysitting. You can tell that this little girl needed a nap from the red mark between her eyes which appears darker when the "sleepy" build up.

Thanks Laura and Ashley white, the eye behind the camera!!

New Addition!!

Elliana "Elli" Anh-Dao Tran was born March 31, 2010 weighing 6lbs. 10 oz. She is a beautiful little girl! Landyn has a new aunt and we have a beautiful, new little sister!! Landyn's Ba (Shelly) did great and the new little family is now home :)

Shelly and Robin decided to keep her name a secret until the big arrival! So it was a wonderful surprise and we just love her! Elli's middle name is traditionally picked by Robin's mom. They are Vietnamese and her middle name means Anh-Dao (cherry blossom).
They live in Colorado so it will be a while until we get to see them. We are so excited for the Trans and cannot wait to meet her!!

Back It Up!!!

Landyn has started to crawl/scoot...BACKWARDS! It is so funny! She will get up on her hands and knees and then go backwards. I'm working with her to go forward, but she isn't getting it quite yet - although she has only been 'backing it up' for a day or two.

This picture shows where she ended up. She started by the toy bird which is on the blanket, closest to you on the left. We really need to keep practicing this crawling thing!

Go Landyn - back it up girl!!!
