What a Ride

Talk about an emotional roller coaster...

Astroworld, Houston - and I thought this place made my stomach drop and heart flutter...

Day 1 - Sept 12 (planned 'elective' induction day): We woke up at 5:30 am to call and see if there was a room ready for us. The answer: "No - call back in 4 hours"

That was what we heard for the entire day until 4:30 pm when (after no food all day) when we were told to try back again tomorrow at 5:30 am.

Day 2 - Sept 13: Repeat of Day 1 except we were "denied" at 10:30 am so Mom and I went to eat a BIG lunch at Santa Barbara in Alvin and on a shopping trip (where we got Landyn a new mattress so that Lane could have one of his own) to get my mind off of the negative (THANKS, MOM)!!

Day 3 - Sept 14: We heard a "YES" at the 5:30 am call and headed over to the hospital once Meredith arrived to stay with Landyn!!

We gave big kisses to our sweet girl and soon-to-be BIG sister who was still asleep :)

(in the meantime, Landyn's immune system was still fighting off all previous viruses and obtaining a new, horrible infection - Pneumonia)
