FiEsTa

My beautiful sister, Laura, found her prince, Chris, and a FIESTA was the perfect way to celebrate their engagement!

The happy couple: Chris and Laura

(Chris's brother is married to a Laura who has a sister named Melissa - I know...it's fate!)

Of course Landyn was all over the place...

But of course she was an angel :)

Our neigborhood community puts on various holiday events at our park and splash pad each year. We were able to participate in the Eggstravaganza Egg Hunt this year. They had the Easter Bunny and easter egg hunts for kids of all ages!

Landyn has never participated in anything like this, but she somehow knew exactly what to do! Our friends, Bailey and Hunter came too, so it was a fun experience for all of them :)

HAPPY EASTER!

Lovely Locks

Landyn finally got her very first haircut! I took her to my hair salon, Ideal Hair, where Vana did such a great job cutting her lovely locks...OFF.

Landyn was very interested in sweeping and cleaning. She watched as all of her hard work made it to the trash.

She sat in the chair like a BIG girl,

but wasn't so sure about the curtain over her and a stranger messing with her hair (she doesn't even like me to play with it most of the time).

But after a little bribery (she takes to it very well)...

She did great!

Vana and Landyn make a good team!

After...

Landyn received a certificate and a little baggie with her lovely locks (more for my sake). Hopefully those curls will grow back :)

Spring Shoot

Nana bought a great deal from Groupon - a photo shoot with a professional photographer (Lori Brown) including a CD with some of the photos. We had to reschedule once because Landyn got sick with an ear infection. The day of the shoot, Landyn woke up and got sick, but I didn't reschedule so we got what we could. She ended up having a virus for a few days :(

The photos don't show her normal, happy self, but with M&Ms, car keys and lots of bribery and playing, she caught a few smirks and smiles. We went to League City and shot pictures at an abandoned shopping center and nearby park. Enjoy!

14 Weeks

March 26, 2011

Lane Kristopher is supposed to be measuring around the size of a bright, zesty lemon.

But... He is a big boy and measuring a whole week larger - closer to the size of a delicious, juicy apple!

Our anatomy ulstrasound will be on April 26th and there, we will confirm his size and whether the doctor will want to change his due date. As of now it is September 25. If they change it, the new due date will be September 17th! I've been feeling great and have so much more energy now, in the second trimester. I didn't go through the ups and downs of energy loss with Landyn, but Lane is giving me a run for my money. I love it! I have been super tired, but my energy is amazing during the day. Landyn still doesn't quite get the whole concept, but she does say, "brother, sister, Lane, baby" And she loves showing off her belly...and her Mommy's :) LOVELY!!!
