I won't say much because for those of you have have NOT gone through this - you will think I'm a horrible mother. And those of you who HAVE gone through this - you will understand in just a few words. It happened a few days ago, but I've been debating posting about it. I decided to do it because I feel like we will look back at this and laugh (at least everyone but me).
It all happened in slow motion, but Landyn fell from the changing table. I was right there, she just moves fast! Needless to say she was immediately caddled the entire night and in full "play-mode"as I tried to put the pieces of my heart back together. I checked all joints and major organ areas and thank GOD she is fine!
So we have moved past and now are on to bigger, better things like playing with Gavin (Devin's little boy) at the splashpad yesterday. Landyn loves the water. Pictures will come soon :)

A Special First
Mother's Day was so special this year because it was our first!! Like all other "gift days" Landyn and her Daddy gave me their gift a couple days early! They did so good!!!
After "Ooohing and Ahhhing" we went outside to take some pictures...
Daddy had to get one with his girl :)

Designed at http://www.lisaleonardonline.com/, the back is in scripted with "James 1:17" which is the verse above her crib which reads, "Every good and perfect gift comes from above." I couldn't have wanted anything else but this. A beautiful piece of jewelry that allows me to have Landyn close to my heart all the time :)
After "Ooohing and Ahhhing" we went outside to take some pictures...
We still had some planning to do for Grandpa Roberts's memorial so we headed to JC Penny to look for outfits to wear (Kris has lost 40 lbs and doesn't have much left that fits him). We didn't end up finding anything to wear there, but we did stop in for some quick Mother's Day photos. Landyn was in a very "tongue-y" mood so we got some really funny pictures to choose from...
Then on actual Mother's Day we headed down to Lake Jackson to have lunch with Nana, Pops and Aunt La(ura).
We all had a very beautiful day, full of love! Being a mother has given me the opportunity to be someone I've dreamed of my whole life. It's amazing to understand the gifts God gave me to be a mom and how they were revealed the day Landyn was born. Thank You, Lord! I feel things I never thought existed in my heart.
Mothers are special gifts and I am so very proud to be chosen as Landyn's! Happy Mother's Day to all you Moms out there!!!! I am honored to be a part of the 'endless-loving club'!!!!!
7 Months
Height: 28.5 inches (2 ft 4.5 inches)
Weight: 21 lbs (almost time for a new carseat)

I know it's a little late, but Landyn has some updates!
She is now crawling like a pro! And when goes, she g-o-e-s! She loves to crawl to objects and pull up on things. She has a new perspective of her world :)
We had to put the outlet covers in because she finds outlets so entertaining for some reason. I would love to know why if anyone ever figures it out. She is also getting to try all kinds of new foods. Whatever we eat - she gets to taste (with limitations of course). She also is learning to use her sippy cup. She also loves Gerber Graduate finger foods and Yogurt Melts :)
She has a new love - a big purple dinosaur. I remember when my cousin Alex was a baby and Barney was his favorite character. Well, I think Landyn may follow in her big cousin's footsteps :) :)
She is still a good sleeper, although we had to push her bedtime up about 30 minutes so that she will sleep just a tee bit longer in the mornings. She has decided to wake up around 6 now, so a good 6:30 sleep really helps! Her new bed time: 7:30-8.
She is growing fast and soon we will need a new carseat. So if you have any suggestions - please let us know!
Thanks for peeping in to see how she's doing! Only 12 more school days until Mommy gets to be with Landyn every day (for the summer at least)!!!

A year ago Today...
I took this idea from another blog I read...but I thought it was cute.

What's really funny is that I wore these exact pants today too :) haha!! And a pink shirt but not the same one.
Enjoy a peek of 19 weeks pregnant Melissa (with Landyn):

Up, Down and All Around
Up = Landyn pulls up on things like her crib (and cries when we leave the room - total heartbreaker!!).
Down = The matress had to be lowered 2 levels so that she doesn't climb out. She gets down on all fours and rocks and "frog scoots"
Around = She has now started to crawl! Not just the frog scoot, but the full out "hand, knee, hand, knee" crawl.
We cannot believe how time is going by so fast! But what we can believe and have know since she was in my tummy is that she is one smart little girl and she learn very quickly.
If you know me and Kris, then you know exactly where she gets her strong will!! She knows what she wants and now she knows how to get it!!! One day it will become something we have to "deal with" but for now we just love her personality and her will to get what she wants :) :)
